An important voice on both KEXP and club turntables, Kid Hops is equally conversant in new-school electronic and a variety of reggae styles. "I push pixels by day," he's declared, but his true calling is the music. His reputation for making connections between sounds has gained him notice outside Seattle; most recently, he was spotted all over Miami's M3 Summit. DJ/Turntablist. 7 p.m.

Dub Championz

Dedicated to re-creating the dub- reggae experience in a stage context, Dub Championz boast a stellar lineup that includes a former Eek-a-Mouse sideman (drummer Davee C). Bringing a Jamaican vibe to the jam-band scene, they recommend "Live dub for your head and head dub for your live." We couldn't have said it better. World/Reggae. 8 p.m.

Georgetown Orbits

More than most genres, ska has its days in the sun and then it goes way, way underground. Keeping things real round these parts are the Orbits, featuring the ska-regulation six-plus members including guitarist Orion Anderson, keyboardist Stanley Florek, guiro/harmonica player Mike Rempe, flugel player Dan Loren, trombonist Jay Abolofia, drummer David Obright, and bassist Tobias Kremple—most of whom share singing duties. Pick it up, pick it up! World/Reggae. 9 p.m.

Wet City Rockers

Inspired by Studio One and roots reggae masters like Horace Andy, Black Uhuru, and Burning Spear, these cats rock damp Seattle like the sun is shining every day. Their sometimes-brooding, always psychedelic compositions have been said to sound "like sex feels." World/Reggae. 10 p.m.

Nuffsed

Recalling the likes of Sublime in their blend of reggae, punk, and hip-hop—not to mention politics and partying— Nuffsed have lit up stages with the likes of Buju Banton and the Marley Brothers. Appealing to both skaters and Rastas, the group recently added to its discography with a second album, Ignite the Fuse (Best Coast). World/Reggae. 11 p.m.
