Brian Barr Joins Seattle Weekly

Seattle Weekly has a new music editor beginning April 12. Brian J. Barr is an experienced critic whose work has appeared in The Stranger, The Portland Mercury, The Believer, No Depression, HARP, DIW, and the Cleveland Free Times. He has also worked as a writing instructor for teens at 826 Seattle, the local arm of a youth-oriented writing program founded by San Francisco author and editor Dave Eggers.

Barr takes over from longtime Seattle Weekly staffer and definitive arbiter of musical taste Michaelangelo Matos, who recently departed to take a post with eMusic in New York.
