Catherine Person Drake Deknatel was arguably doing his best work when he died at the end of 2005. His final large, bold canvases are haunted by a recurring image: himself as a small boy, lost inside his father's WWII military jacket. This is the motif of "Paintings from 2003-2005," the Seattle- and Berlin-based painter's first posthumous show.
