Hacki Ginda

Kellie Hwang

Published on January 25, 2006

If there was an international clowning competition, Hacki Ginda would take the cake. Or more likely, a pie in the face. Renowned for opening the Berlin venue Chameleon Variete, Ginda has become hugely successful entertaining crowds all around Europe, landing him the prestigious Golden Nose Award at Spain's clown festival. He returns this year to the Moisture Festival, alongside a full range of variety and vaudeville acts, including Seattle's Circus Contraption's Dr. Calamari and Acrophelia, the Flordigan Can Can Girls, and members of Vashon's UMO Ensemble.

Moisture Festival runs Tues., March 21–Sun., April 9, at Hale's Palladium, 4301 Leary Way N.W., 800-838-3006, www.moisturefestival.com.
