Gobble Gobble Hey: 1234
Seattle's finest Ramones tribute band celebrates Thanksgiving a day early, which ought to be fun. Murdock and All American Playboys open. Funhouse, 9:30 p.m. $5

Hypatia Lake + Tarantula A.D. + Stars of Track and Field
Shoegazers Hypatia Lake play their last show of the year, where you can pick up the new Skull Is the Anchor EP and preview their forthcoming album. With Tarantula A.D. and Stars of Track and Field, you won't need to double-fist the winter ale to get a buzz at this show. Crocodile Cafe, 9 p.m. $8
Na (CD release) + Simon Poole
It makes sense, within this context, that the three Japanese ex-pat noise experimenters in Na are releasing their first album, called B-Sides, before their first album, which isn't called A-Sides but Naisnice. They are also simultaneously releasing Radio Sessions, which includes selections from live performances. Rendezvous, 10:30 p.m. $5 Also Sun., Nov. 27, at Chop Suey, 8 p.m. $6
Northwest Harvest Benefit
This "Giving Thanks" party features Trinity resident DJs Vice, Scene, VSOP, and Karl Kamakahi spinning a variety of styles—and entry's free with a canned food donation. Trinity, 10 p.m.
Taj Mahal
The legendary musician and singer—whether you call his style Afro-Caribbean blues, folk-funk or world—continues a 15-show run with drummer Bill Rich and bassist Kester Smith. There's no excuse to miss his anticipated, eclectic show. Dimitriou's Jazz Alley, 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. $25.50 Also Fri., Nov. 25–Sun., Nov. 27
Thursday, November 24
Breaks and Freaks
Stuffing your face and hanging with the fam not enough fun for one day? Break out of your turkey coma for Portland's finest electro-tech DJs, Perfect Cyn and Derek Fisher, who spin with . . . Dirty Jesus. Contour, 9 p.m. $5
Friday, November 25
D:Fuse
Once an opening DJ for Oakenfold and other high-profile progressive trance/house DJs, D:Fuse made a name for himself in the same circles with his 2004 artist album, Begin. With Eva and Austin Payne. Element, 9 p.m. $10 before 11 p.m./$15
The High Dials
SEE TALK TALK, P. 35. Sunset Tavern, 9 p.m. $7
Jane Siberry
In 1995, Canadian singer Siberry's ethereal "It Can't Rain All the Time" found a place between Helmet and the Cure on the soundtrack to the Crow—a testament to the versatility of her sophisticated lyrics and atmospheres. Triple Door, 8 p.m. $28.50 adv./$31
Long Winters + Slender Means + Ghost Stories
The locally beloved indie rockers don't do much for us, but maybe that'll change with repeated exposure to the new Ultimatum EP (Barsuk). Slender Means and Ghost Stories open. Crocodile Cafe, 9 p.m. $12
Super Furry Animals + Caribou
It's not often that you can see two of the most overrated acts in their separate-but-not-really fields in one place, but Welsh indie rockers SFA and Canadian indie-electronic-guy Caribou sharing the bill make it possible tonight. Neumo's, 8 p.m. $14 adv.
Saturday, November 26
Charming Snakes + Invisible Eyes
Get under the spell of these garage-punk marauders for an Invisible Eyes CD release and performances by the Blank Its, Vince Saxon and the Beat Slaves. Funhouse, 9:30 p.m. $5
Donovan
Though a box set is really stretching it (dude's catalog isn't nearly that robust), Donovan is still an ace guitarist with a quietly appealing voice, and he does have a decent-enough catalog if hippie-dippy is your thing. For us, sometimes, it totally is. Moore Theatre, 8 p.m. $36–$41
Eleven Eyes
Straight outta Eugene, Eleven Eyes really, really, really want to make you dance—through free jazz that bumps and grinds with hip-hop turntablism and live breakbeats. Mama's Cookin' headline the party. ToST, 9 p.m. $6
The Emergency + Iceage Cobra + Dateless + Jimmy Flame and the SexXxy Boys
Not one of those shows where you want to be "fashionably late" (because you were at home watching sitcoms instead of opening acts), this one is all kinds of rockin'. A solid bill. High Dive, 10 p.m. $6
The Lovemakers + She Wants Revenge + Rock Kills Kid
Doesn't the new generation of buzz bands seem dull? That's the case even when they're pretty good, like Rock Kills Kid. Mostly they're sort of whatever like the Lovemakers. And sometimes they're downright abominable—see She Wants Revenge. Crocodile Cafe, 7:30 p.m. $10 adv./$12
Yellowcard
A small-town Florida pop-punk band made really, really good—particularly with the MTV-approved hit "Only One"—expect loads of screaming tweens at this early show with Acceptance and Reeve Oliver. Neumo's, 6 p.m. $20
Monday, November 28
Si*Se
Touring for More Shine, the N.Y.C.–based band blends sexy Latin rhythms with electronic beats and live instrumentation for a sizzling live performance. The Fading Collection, Betherum Collective, and SunTzu Sound's AC Lewis also play. Chop Suey, 8 p.m. $7
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the brainchild of a former rock musician who wanted to write rock operas and then figured out what an awful oxymoron that was. But don't expect Tommy. There might be occasional guitar riffs, but the general idea is to riff off of classical and opera. KeyArena, 305 E. Harrison St., 7:30 p.m. $29–$44
Tuesday, November 29
King's X
The hard-rock veterans, led by bassist/singer Doug Pinnick, tour behind the new Ogre Tones (Enhanced). Fenix Underground, 9 p.m. $15
Lyfe + Vivian Green + Goapele
Lyfe 268-192 refers to the five-time Showtime at the Apollo winner's former prison number, but the young songwriter's music concerns the heart as well as the street. Neo-soul diva Vivian Green (a former backup singer for Jill Scott) and the sultry Goapele open the show. Showbox, 8 p.m. $25
Trey Anastasio
Reviews are mixed on the Phish co-founder's solo debut, Shine—which along with being called a "midlife crisis" by one reviewer—is damaged by Sony, whose copy protection software infiltrates the hard drive of each well-meaning hippie with an iPod. Paramount Theatre, 7:30 p.m. $33.50 E
