Bruce Springsteen, Grizzly Man, and Seattle Tattoo Convention

Thurs - Music

Sure, he's been fawned over to more embarrassing ends than Bob Dylan and the Beatles put together (or maybe that stupid new Esquire cover story just makes me think that). But Bruce Springsteen really is a great singer, songwriter, and bandleader. 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Aug. 11. $75–$85. KeyArena, 206-628-0888, www.ticketmaster.com. MICHAELANGELO MATOS

Fri - Movie

The best film I saw at SIFF this year makes a posthumous star out of a failed Hollywood actor who found fame by getting killed and partly eaten by a grizzly bear. Timothy Treadwell emerges as a spacey, naive, yet ultimately tragic figure in Werner Herzog's documentary, Grizzly Man. (See review) Opens Fri., Aug. 12, at the Guild 45. BRIAN MILLER

Fri–Sun - Expo
