La Peña Flamenca and Seattle Symphony

La Peña Flamenca

As the estimable, ever-present Rubina and Marcos Carmona continue to deepen their skills as performers, they also bring those gifts to the studio, teaching the next generation of flamenco artists—a group of whom (pictured) will be dancing, playing, and singing in Fiesta del Verano. Ethnic Cultural Theater, 3940 Brooklyn Ave. N.E., 206-932-4067. $12-$15. 8 p.m. Sat. July 9-Sun. July 10. SANDRA KURTZ

Seattle Symphony

Remember when pop culture used to acknowledge classical music's existence? When Warner Bros. felt confident that mainstream moviegoers actually knew enough about opera that they could cast Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny in their sublime Wagner sendup, "What's Opera, Doc?" With conductor George Daugherty and the SSO recreating the soundtracks live, here's an evening of classic Bugs, including the manic Rossini spoof "The Rabbit of Seville" and the ultimate deconstruction of the conductor mystique, "Long-Haired Hare." Benaroya Hall, Third and Union, 206-215-4747. $20-$55. 7:30 p.m. Thurs. July 7; 8 p.m. Fri. July 8; 2 and 8 p.m. Sat. July 9; 2 p.m. Sun. July 10. GAVIN BORCHERT
