Sept. 18–19 Betz Family Winery holds its annual open-house celebrating the release of its 2002 syrahs, La Côte Rousse (big, lush, powerful) and La Serenne (smooth, supple, but tangy). Only a little over 200 cases of each was made, so even at $40 a bottle they won't be on the market long.
