Choices include caramelized onion-wild mushroom tart, duck confit, and rack of lamb with pomegranate glaze. KIRKLAND DECEMBER 3 Kaspar's claims to offer Seattle's best wine tasting experience. See if they deliver that tall order tonight. LOWER QUEEN ANNE DECEMBER 7 Szmania's three-course St. Nicholas Dinner, the restaurant's annual traditional German Christmas Goose celebration, will feature roasted young Dakota goose with red cabbage, calvados potatoes, and fresh cranberry chutney. Roasted game hen with kalamata olives? Lamb osso buco with Tuscan beans and roasted beets? Roasted chestnut and honey cake? In addition to a trade tasting of Yakima's best wines, there will be a silent auction of beers and wines signed by the producers. Proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If that's not a catchy name for a class, then we don't know what is. This class, offered at the Issaquah PCC, is all about homemade vegetarian natural foods for little ones.
