Not to worry: Greg Atkinson's romantic five-course tasting menu runs straight through February. Toi Featuring the four-course "lovers' platter for two" for $36: At that price, you can indulge in the French champagnes by the glass and the special amatory desserts. Szmania Twice as much lovin': Celebrate a week early on Feb. 7 with tuna tartare with caviar, lobster chowder, and other dainties at a 6 p.m. gourmet club supper, $50 (Magnolia only), or wait for the day itself and the $59 special four-course menu at both restaurants. 3321 W. The Painted Table As much imagination went into naming the items on the special prix fixe menu as the dishes themselves. Tasty samples: Deliverance and desire (pan-roasted quail glistening in diaphanous pomegranate glaze); That obscure object of desire (tournedos of salmon with earthy morels and suggestive asparagus spears); and Relax my love (maybe there ought to be a comma there, but in any case, rich chocolate cake flowing with strawberries and raspberry sauce). $50, $75 with paired wines. 92 Madison (in the Alexis Hotel), 624-3646. Brasserie Margaux Tournedos, sea bass, paella, or squash ravioli accompanied by options like loverly Pacific oysters, sweet bite-size desserts for two, and a couple of glasses of Argyle Brut bubbly to toast each other with, plus 25 percent off other selected wines. $75 per couple. 401 Lenora, 443-4300. Cassis A tr賠French four-course menu studded with items like seared foie gras, mushroom consomm鬠roast squab, mushroom-leek potato baskets, and a bevy of gooey romantic desserts. $70. 2359 10th E., 329-0580. Hale's Brewpub Curried mussels, Caesar salad, choice of scallops in red wine over angel hair pasta or crab-stuffed sirloin, plus chocolate-raspberry decadence. $60 per couple. 6:30 p.m. 4301 Leary Way N.W., 706-1544. Sazerac An elaborate ࠬa carte menu for visitors on Love Night: shrimp cakes in aﯬi ($10.50), smoked trout salad ($9), honey-lavender game hen ($22), truffled goat-cheese ravioli ($20) . . . and for the unwillingly single, a special table to chat and dine with others similarly disinclined. 1101 Fourth, 624-7755. Andaluca A menu built around a classic presentation of whole lobster gratin with potato stuffing and braised greens.
