Face-to-face they're usually greeted with a smile, but behind their backs their names are often met with a wince. They fall into three categories: people who think they have power and influence, but who actually don't; people who appear to have power and influence, but who merely serve loftier masters; and people who are trying to obtain power and influence with a say- and do-anything attitude that falls flat more than it flatters. All three have this in common: If they can't make it in Seattle, they probably can't make it anywhere.
